CONTEMPLATIVE CARE TRAINING
Present to Dying ~
A community-based contemplative care training program for
beginners.


This November 7th-9th, Hospice Without Borders is offering a 3-day residential version of Present to Dying. We are referring to it as, 'Gifts of the Turning Earth'.

We have decided to collaborate with our friends and hold this retreat at the lovely 29- acre lakeside Grinwood Retreat Center in Lacey Washington.

What a fun day of packing medical supplies for donation to Rwanda.

Monthly outreach today. Thanks to donations, I was able to take out warm clothes, gloves, tarps, flashlights, blankets, socks, canned food, fresh fruit, and a whole bunch of other survival supplies. On top of all that, thanks to the generosity of the folks at Hospice Without Borders, I was also able to provide 24 lunches (ham & cheese sandwich, chips, fruit, and protein bar) to the residents of the encampment known as the Jungle. Everyone was so grateful, it was overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who makes these outreaches possible! (Photo: All that was left after 30 minutes. Time to clean your closet and donate to Amahoro House. We are in need of men and womens clothing as Fall and Winter approach us.

Amahoro House is our palliative care respite that is located in Olympia Washington. We are currently open 3 days per week and partner with the Interfaith Works Emergency Overnight Shelter. We provide a safe peaceful space for guests to enjoy a clean hot shower, and we hope, come to recognize their own inherent goodness, strength, and dignity.
