There's nothing quite like learning something new! Whether you are a lure-lover or a fly-fanatic, there's no harm in taking a peek at what other anglers are using. Join the Olympia Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Thursday evening for a fun lure and fly-tying event at the fantastic Three Magnets Brewing Company at 6:30 PM.

We'll be bringing the tying and lure-making goods with us along with some vices, but if you have your own, please bring them along! We love to see different kinds of gear and help both the experienced and novice DIY'er explore their options.

Last Saturday, a group of dedicated volunteers braved snow, rain and cold to plant 125 bareroot plants to finish a project in the Chehalis basin, where Trout Unlimited replaced an undersized culvert with a bridge. Did you know? Riparian plantings help salmon streams by reducing bank erosion, providing critical shade to reduce stream temperatures, and contributing food material for many aquatic organisms.
