We were honored to welcome five speakers representing local Hispanic organizations across our region who shared their stories, insights and the vital work they do every day to enrich our community. Check out the inspirational speeches from Olivia Salazar de Breaux- Vice President of Hispanic Roundtable; Lynne Glore – Board Secretary of Legal Immigration Services of Olympia (LISO); Natalia Mejia – Director of programs for Mi Chiantla; Catalina Ocampo Londoño and Alice Nelson of Colectiva Cocuya; and Miguel Pineda of Lula Fest.

And special thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the history, culture and enduring contributions of our Hispanic and Latino neighbors.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Tumwater! ❤️💙💛

We are deeply grateful to the City of Tumwater and Mayor Leatta Dahlhoff for recognizing and celebrating the contributions of our Hispanic, Latino, and Latinx communities through this year’s National Hispanic Heritage Month proclamation.

It was an honor for members of the Hispanic Roundtable to receive this proclamation on behalf of our organization and the diverse communities we proudly serve.

Our cultures, stories, traditions, businesses, creativity, and contributions are an important part of what makes our community stronger. We look forward to continuing to build bridges, create opportunities, and celebrate the richness and diversity of our community—not just during Hispanic Heritage Month, but throughout the year. 🌎❤️
