So, there are issues about the impact of the Artesian Commons park and the Artesian Well proper. In your opinion what is or is not working and how do we fix the things that don't work?

Support Your Local Well... YES we have the well permanently secured for public use and managed by the city. There are still opportunities to see the space around the well integrated better as a community resource. H2Olympia is still around! Keep up with activities of the organization here on this page!

Help with the Artesian Well Survey!
The City of Olympia is doing it's part by making a step-by-step
effort to purchase the Diamond Parking lot the well is on. They have
indicated strongly that the intentions for the well is to keep it
free-flowing and publicly accessible.
H2Olympia is conducting a survey to document the practical needs of

In February 2009, a survey was taken at the well which really helped to give real numbers to the usage of the well by the public. At the time, it was estimated that 250 people per day were coming to use the water from the well. The survey information proved very useful in the process of the City...

Dr. Emoto from Japan will present "Messages from Water" at the Evergreen State College Longhouse, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, followed by a book signing sponsored by the Evergreen Book Store.

H2olympia meetings are: - the 2nd Saturday of the month at the DRC (steering committee only, but requests to attend the meetings can be directed to [email protected]). - PUBLIC meetings are 4th Friday 6pm at the MIXX 96 conference room.
