The pods are open… for professional development and learning with CSTP! We can't help but notice the resemblance between some Love is Blind UK notebooks and our humble green CSTP journals. Use them to write about dating from behind a wall AND your pedagogical aspirations. We don't need to see you to talk about teacher leadership and equity in the classroom. If you bring us to your school or district, you can get one of these green journals for yourself! Let us know if we should make CSTP golden goblets next.

For many of you, school is approaching or already here! So the question of the day is: What kind of agenda or planner do you like using? Are you a day by day person? Do you need it all laid out by month? Maybe you have a more elaborate system of tracking events, to do items, and things you are waiting for. Maybe you just need a notebook to doodle in! Earlier this month, CSTP was honored to partner with and co-facilitate NWESD 189's Teachers for the People Program Professional Development training: Grounding Indigenous Ways of Being using the Culturally Responsive Framework. TPP is a community-rooted educator preparation program focused on increasing the number of diverse, justice-oriented teachers in early learning and K–3 classrooms. TPP is guided by the belief that Indigenous voices must be at the center of shaping educational spaces. This event brought together over 20 educators and educational leaders from across the state to learn, reflect, and grow alongside colleagues committed to creating more equitable educational experiences for all students. People affected by wildfires this season, particularly those hardest hit in the Spokane area, are in our thoughts and hearts. Wildfire containment is improving, but the damage to living spaces, environments, air quality, and resources will have a greater and longer lasting impact. Toxic ash remains behind and rebuilding efforts will take resources and community support.
