Come out and connect with our team and community partners for a special opportunity to learn more about:

🎯 Hunting
We’ll have a WDFW representative at our table to discuss disabled hunting licenses and the new app. One of our hunting directors will also be available to answer questions.

🎣 Fishing
A board member involved on the fishing side will be there to answer questions and share resources.

🛠 Fishing Rod Building
Meet with our rod building instructor and learn more about the craft.

💙 Su***de Prevention
Our su***de prevention coordinator will be on site and available for questions and support resources.

🤝 Volunteering & Donations
Our secretary and another board member will be available to talk about ways to get involved and support the mission.

This is the first time we’ve had so many of our people together in one place for the community to connect with directly. Don’t miss out!

For many veterans and military families, Memorial Day is personal. It is a day to remember brothers, sisters, teammates, and friends who are no longer here. We honor those who gave their lives in service and carry their memory with us today and every day.

Rod dries overnight and pick up is the following day.

You will have to complete pre and post class online mental health surveys. This class is partially funded by a su***de prevention grant.

STURGEON CATCH & RELEASE TRIP

DATE: Wednesday May 27th, 2026

TIME: 0530am - early afternoon

WHERE: Astoria, Or

4 seats available for a guided fishing trip with Miller's Sportfishing.

Fishing will be plunking, all gear is provided and the trip is FREE.

Pre and post event surveys will have to be completed for participation.

Open to all vets and active duty military (proof of service will be verified) and you must have/obtain a valid fishing license.

Two weeks later and we are still blown away by the support shown at the 2026 Outdoors For Our Heroes Banquet & Auction.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered, bid, and helped make this event such an incredible success. Because of this amazing community, OFOH can continue supporting veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families through meaningful outdoor experiences and connection.

We loved seeing everyone come together for such a fun and impactful evening and wanted to share a few more photos from the night. Big shout out to Fox & Fern Photography for donating their time and capturing this event with such great photos!

We are so grateful for all of you and already looking forward to next year on May 8, 2027!

Join us at The Tacoma Dome on 30 May for the resource fair. We will have several board members there to talk; hunting, fishing trips, fishing rod building classes and mental heath/su***de prevention classes.
