Nisqually Stream Stewards

Nisqually Stream Stewards Long-lasting restoration and stewardship will only come about through community based efforts! In all, we provide 40 hours of training.

The Nisqually Stream Stewards is a free class hosted by the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Nisqually River Council. Stream Stewards gain hands on experiences, conserve the Nisqually Watershed, network with local professionals and meet new people. Over the 6 week class, you'll travel from Mount Rainier to the Nisqually Delta and everywhere in between! You'll get access to unique sites throughout the Ni

squally Watershed, including restoration sites in the Ohop Valley. In exchange, you commit to 40 hours of volunteer time with organizations of your choice over the next year. Classes begin in early August and continue through the end of September. We meet on Tuesday evenings and several Saturdays. The class is limited to 25 participants, and fills up quick! To reserve your spot, or to get more information, please email [email protected]! The Stream Stewards Team (Ashley, Morgan and Sheila) look forward to working with you!
