The U.S needs to catch up to most democracies in the world and adopt this system.

Seattle’s Hottest Club was City Hall last night! Over 10 advocates of ranked choice voting (RCV) showed up to demand adequate funding for equitable RCV education ahead of the 2027 implementation to make sure no voter is left behind🌟 Doing your civic duty with friends is always a good time ✨

9/100 people picked 88% of of U.S representative seats this year. That’s how much power the primaries give to the few voters who turn out for them. And politicians know how to game it to their advantage.

We can do better than our top 2 system in Washington State. The Alaska model has a top 5 system allowing top 5 candidates to advance (regardless of party). Then voters can rank their preferences in the general. This grants more power to the voters. Follow to learn more about Ranked Choice Voting!

Young voters are the largest voting block but consistently turn out the least…it’s time we change that. Go to vote.wa.gov and get yourself registered to vote in less than 15 minutes! 💻

2026 Primary Election Wrapped! 🗳️ 🌟

Turnout reached a new low in Washington since 2016 at 37%…but we reached new highs with ballot drop box use! And finally USPS delays did lead to a SIGNIFICANT amount of ballot rejections especially in rural areas where drop boxes are much less common to find. LESSONS LEARNED: BE A FIRST WEEK VOTER ‼️
