ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households experience financial hardship because they have a monthly income higher than the threshold to qualify for government assistance programs, but below the cost of living in their area.

United For ALICE works to gather data on ALICE households and inspire action through partnerships with corporations, nonprofits, and government officials. The data shows that poverty and ALICE are most prevalent amongst single parent families.

At Family Support Center, we serve all families with children living in the South Sound. Whether the need is for parenting support, basic needs items such as diapers, or help accessing community resources. Contact us at 360-754-9297 if you are in need of support!

Did you know?

Babies younger than 12 months should not be given any foods that contain raw or cooked honey as honey may cause botulism, a serious illness.

Learn about what to feed your kiddo, foods to avoid, and how to feed them on the Healthy Eating Research website! They have a great guide on feeding for 0-2 year old kiddos. Check it out here: healthyeatingresearch.org/tips-for-families/ages-0-2-feeding-recommendations

Consult with your pediatrician for recommendations tailored to your kiddos needs. You can also speak with specialists at our drop in Infant Feeding and Postpartum Group on Thursdays at the Hands On Children's Museum from 10:15-11:45am.
