Our faculty lost one of its own over the Winter break. Lynda Swanson, Developmental English professor and amazing grammarian, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 29, at home. She was 66.

She came to SPSCC in 1990 with her husband, Bill. She worked as an adjunct teaching English first in the Humanities department and later in Dev Ed. She was tenured in 2000.

Her tireless efforts to work with students and collaborate with colleagues leaves an enormous hole on our campus - both in our hearts and within the division. She is sorely missed!
