Capital Centennial Rotary Club

Capital Centennial Rotary Club Our club meets every Monday evening at 5:15pm at Mercato Ristorante in downtown Olympia. The public

The Olympia Capital Centennial Club’s vision is to help the homeless children of Thurston County, primarily through the Welcome Room at Madison Elementary. We want to offer these children support during an unstable period of their lives. Our next steps are to find other people interested in our vision who will help us to expand our efforts. Rotarians are diverse, friendly, and come from all walks

of life. Our common bond is the humanitarian philosophy we have towards improving the lives and well being of those in need.. To that end, our club believes that it is through our efforts that we grow as individuals both personally and professionally. The Capital Centennial Rotary Club enjoys what it does, it enjoys its members, and hopes that others will believe that they too can make a difference and join us in our efforts. Our major fundraiser each year is the Teddy Bear Tea Party held the day after Thanksgiving. We provide a festive pre-school age party where the children meet Santa and enjoy treats and activities. In addition to youth homelessness, we also have committed to providing school supplies for Running Start high school students that need help, sponsoring our own club members that participate in international humanitarian efforts through Rotary, provide financial assistance to Rotary Peace Scholars that attend interviews in Vancouver, B.C. and provide funds for the international Micro Fund program where low interest loans are given to women in third world countries.
