Hello and welcome to the Washington Agate and Mineral Society. We are a non-profit rock club in Thurston county WA. WAMS is the oldest rock and mineral club in Washington State, founded February 3, 1937. Our mission is to promote the interest and education in the Earth Sciences, such as geology, mineralogy, and paleontology (rocks, minerals, and fossils) through holding club meetings that include demonstrations, informative presentations, a junior rockhound's time, and organizing rockhounding field trips. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in rocks. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month. We hope to see you at a future club meeting!
