If the mission is to make it so less people in need have access to food then Food is Free Washington is accomplishing it by blocking everyone who posts anything related to this! Little do they know everyone can still see their shared posts I made even after blocking me on every form of social media possible. Including disabling the ability to comment on their page or message them due to me commenting in regards to how they want David Thompson to quietly go without anyone noticing. Well we noticed. We also see your true colors. You’re not for helping the community. You made that vastly clear by blocking anyone and everyone who does help or needs it from the community.

We have fantastic news to share with y’all!!!! We got the WeFeedWA grant!!! This will allow us to do a regular weekly food giveaway again.

However, shortly after finding out we were awarded this grant we learned that the church that has been hosting our giveaways had been sold. Unfortunately, this means that we need to find a new location to host our weekly food giveaways.

We’re hoping that one of our followers might have a space that they can donate to our nonprofit.

In our current location we are using an auxiliary parking lot that belongs to a church. We have large heavy-duty tables that are made out of pallets that we unload the produce into. We have folks park on the street or the church parking lot across the street and then they walk up and get in line to get food. Our tables weigh approximately 200 lbs and stay at the location until our next food giveaway. We have 9 of them.

We can pack out whatever waste we have. However, if there is access to a recycling dumpster that would be awesome. We go through a lot of cardboard.

Here’s what we are looking for:
• A parking lot that we can house (9) 200 lb produce tables
full-time
• In the Hilltop, South Tacoma, or the Eastside Neighborhoods
• Recycling and Trash Access
• *fenced lot would be nice*
• WE ARE INSURED

We must be moved out of the church by October 8th. If you have a space that you would like to donate for our food distributions let’s talk! [email protected]

Woohooo!!! We won the grant!!

This is what regenerative farming can look like. This is a picture of the Eden Project in Cornwall, England. Unlike conventional monoculture planting, this polyculture system diversifies the soil life, making plants less susceptible to pests and disease. (Photo by Franie Treetops @ Flickr).

Regenerative farming applies the Buddhist wisdom of pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination) and inter-being to agriculture. One could also describe this as aligning with the ecological wisdom of Nature, what some African cultures call "ubuntu" - the Indigenous wisdom that all LIFE is interdependently related as a whole, and thrives best as One family -🙏💕
