🖤 We want to thank every volunteer, donor, and neighbor who showed up to make our November “Thanksgiving” Mutual Aid Pop-Up possible. What you’re seeing here is collective care in action—people choosing each other when systems fall short.
Our Mutual Aid Pop-Ups happen in November (Thanksgiving) and December 25th (Christmas Day) because these are days when access to food, warmth, and resources often disappears for unhoused community members.
We approach these days with awareness—recognizing the violent history tied to Thanksgiving and how its impacts continue to disproportionately harm communities most affected by homelessness, and acknowledging that Christmas is shaped by cultural, religious, and economic norms that do not reflect or include everyone’s lived experience. What does hold meaning is showing up for each other through mutual aid, harm reduction, and collective care.
Join us by volunteering, cooking, or donating supplies for our next pop-up on December 25th. Sign up at the link in our bio. ❄️
