We are proud to be hosting our 32nd annual Women of Achievement celebration on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at the YWCA Olympia, Friendship Hall.

The YWCA of Olympia Women of Achievement award is a prestigious honor that seeks to acknowledge the incredible work that the women, youth, and local businesses or organizations of our community offer to the South Sound area, and who live and embody our mission to eliminate racism and sexism, advance the political, social and economic status of all women and girls, and embody our vision of a world where all people are valued, live free from oppression, and thrive in a just society.

This year, we are excited to honor folks in each of these categories:
Women of Achievement:
Business of Achievement
Youth of Achievement

We are so glad you can join us, and we look forward to celebrating with you in October!

🌈 Pride Camp 2026 was INCREDIBLE🌈

Thank you so much to Synergy WildTiny and Capital City Pride Olympia and Lacey MakerSpace and Pizza Klatch for partnering with us!! We could not have done this happen without you💗

❤️We spent a day with Luna Delyte exploring self-expression, history of drag, and we created our own drag personas!

🧡We learned about laser engraving at Lacey MakerSpace and designed signs for Capital City Pride Olympia festival! (Find the signs around Pride this weekend!!)

💛We hung at the beach, played games and tie-dyed!

💚Thanks to meconis for lunch, volunteers for helping make this happen, and thank YOU for the opportunity to host this camp this summer. We are in this together!!

💙huge shout out to Inspire Olympia for the support and partnering with us not only to support camp but for being a huge cheerleader for our success. We appreciate you so much!!

We’ve been a little quiet on here not because the work has stopped, we’ve just been deep in it! Here are a few things we’ve been up to…

❤️50+ folks have shopped in Kathleen’s Closet so far this year alone! Whether you have business casual clothes and accessories to donate, or need an outfit for an upcoming interview, meeting, court date (actual date), or something else - stop by Kathleen’s Closet Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 10a-2p and check it out.

🧡Our family friendly Second Saturday volunteer work parties are a GREAT place to meet other community members, help out around our space, or sort clothing donations. We couldn’t do what we’re doing without the support from volunteers. THANK YOU✨

💛Every day at our building, we are hosting incredible humans doing incredible work. Groups like .hummingbird, , the NAACP, the save our library forum, , , and more incredible groups are gathering here in community.

💚Our FREE community kitchen dinners, Bread and Belonging, continue this month with dinner this Friday from Ramirez and a virtual watch party of the WAISN Rapid Response response training Friday March 6 from 5-8 (virtual training starts at 6pm!)

💙More info about all of this and more at the link in our bio!

💜We have an *exciting* update coming soon so please stay tuned!

Take care of yourself, take care of each other and we look forward to seeing you and the daffodils soon🌼
