Hey GJTF scholars! Want to earn community service hours and increase your chances of being selected for our Spring Break Tour or Summer Exploration Experience?

Join us today from 3–6 PM at the GJTF building for our Legacy Link Up: Wellness Wednesday! Come connect with our community partners and learn about resources and opportunities available to you.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Sign in with Ms. Anita when you arrive and pick up a Legacy Link-Up Resource form.
2. Visit each table and have the representative initial your form.
3. Turn your completed form in to Miss Jade to receive a letter documenting your community service hours.
4. See Mr. Bills to have your name added to the list for consideration for our Spring Break Tour and/or summer program.

5. THATS IT!!! EASY PEZZY!!!!

Hey Facebook family! We’re in the midst of our Legacy Week, celebrating 30 years of The Gloria J. Taylor Foundation existence! 💜💚

Yesterday, we kicked things off by asking our families to donate new or gently used toys and clothing for our December Gift of Giving. You can participate, too! Bring your donations by our facility and help us make the holidays a little brighter for families in our communities.

Today is my mother’s heavenly birthday, and I chose this day to honor her memory by sharing kindness and love. We’re paying it forward with random acts of kindness, and I’m asking you to join us…

My founding pastor use to always say, “It’s just nice to be nice.”

I’m asking you to be nice today. Buy somebody a cup of coffee. Open the door for someone. Smile, say hello, or offer an encouraging word. You never know what a person is going through or how much that small gesture might mean to them.

With all we’re dealing with in this world, I wanted my mother’s birthday to be a day when we intentionally spread a little kindness. Just be nice to somebody today.

Did you know students in eighth grade are eligible to take the ACT?

YES! 8th-grade students may register for and take the OFFICIAL ACT.

I am excited to announce that several of our eighth-grade Educational Talent Search scholars have registered to take the ACT in September! This early experience will introduce them to standardized testing, strengthen their test-taking skills, and help prepare them for what lies ahead as they pursue their postsecondary goals.

At GJTF, we believe it is never too early to begin “Preparing our Future for the Future!”
