🚧 DEMOLITION HAS BEGUN! 🚧

A new chapter is officially underway at the park! 🏗️

Demolition has begun as we make way for our new Olustee Museum! 🏛️

While it’s bittersweet to see the old museum come down, we’re excited for the future and the opportunity to create a new space dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Battle of Olustee and the people whose lives were forever changed by this pivotal Civil War battle.

We’re excited to watch this project take shape and can’t wait to share the journey with you!

📍 Primarily based at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park while construction continues at Olustee Historic Battlefield State Park.

🌳 Maintain trails, grounds, facilities & equipment
👋 Help visitors have a great park experience
🌿 Protect Florida’s natural & cultural resources
🛠️ Gain hands-on experience and valuable training

💰 $15/hour
⏰ Up to 29 hours/week
📅 Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends & holidays
🚗 Valid driver’s license required

This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, self-motivated person who loves the outdoors and wants to build experience in Florida State Parks!

Ground was broken for the future Olustee Battlefield Museum at Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park!

This secure, approximately 2,000-square-foot facility will feature indoor and outdoor exhibits telling the story of the Civil War in Florida, culminating with the Battle of Olustee. The building will include interactive exhibits, Civil War artifacts, restrooms, and the permanent home of the Olustee CSO Civil War Library.
