Hi everyone!
Well, it took a little work and a lot of help from others BUT the latest bricks are COMPLETE!!! This is the pic I took after installing them. I appreciate the patience of the families involved. I wanted to stream line the process. We use to need ALL 8 bricks to be spoken for before getting the engraving done. As you might imagine, that took a while! I simply did not like the families having to wait that long! We can NOW do single bricks if necessary! I love that part!
This would not have been possible without the help and expertise of Linda Judge! Linda owns and operates Big Creek Custom just southeast of Olney on the Saint Marie Road. She does custom sandblasting on rocks and stone. She did a FANTASTIC job and truly stepped in to help us out!!! Thank you Linda!!
To all of you who support and visit the site, thank you! I won’t try to find words for all the emotions that the memorial brings. Trying to do so in black and white letters would be very unkind.
Now, another group of families has a place to honor their loved one. I’m humbled and grateful to be a small part of this huge outreach! Thank you for allowing me to do so!

Hey everyone! As many of you know I started helping with the Angel of Hope children’s memorial in Musgrove Park this spring. Until now it’s just been maintaining the site. Simple enough! We now have planned a memorial service for ALL the families and community members who want to join in. It’s THIS SATURDAY at the memorial sight in the city park at 1 pm. It will be simple. We will honor those children lost too soon and have a simple ceremony for the families. If you are a family member who’s child has a memorial brick we truly want you to come! PLEASE! If others can be there for support, that brings things full circle in Gods eyes and healing takes place. It won’t take much of your day, but will certainly keep us all on track in our thoughts and perspectives.

Announcing!! Because of health issues Bob and Cheryl Ginder will no longer be directors for The Angel of Hope of Olney, Il. A group of kind hearted individuals have stepped up under the guidance of Todd Bettis of Olney. It is still a non profit corporation. The group will be called Friends for The Angel of Hope of Olney. Because it is still a nonprofit we hope everyone will still be generous with your support and donations. Much of the care of the memorial and future plans will remain as before. Todd is a caring individual that wants to use his talents and time to ensure that the memorial is kept as a beautiful place for bereaved families to remember their children, siblings, and friends who left us too soon. He believes this is a ministry to the bereaved. From this point on memorial bricks can be ordered through Todd at - 3860 N. Van Road Olney, Il. Also contact him for any questions or to make donations. Bob and I sure appreciate Todd and the new ‘Friends ‘ group for loving The Angel of Hope enough to keep the memorial as a tribute to our children. We are happy to announce that we will soon have a brand new committee in place for The Angel of Hope Children’s Memorial Garden! I am very excited and relieved to know that the memorial will have ongoing care! More details soon!

There’s going to be a meeting at my house next Tuesday evening for anyone interested in being a part of the soon to be new committee for The Angel of Hope . If you are willing to give of yourself to keep the memorial a beautiful tribute to our children come to 5085 Northview Lane (north side of East Fork Lake) at 7 pm. If you want to be a part of the committee but can’t make it to the meeting let me know and I’ll see that I get the needed information to you and get your name on the membership list. We are very appreciative that others do want the memorial to go on. Contact me for any questions.

This is an urgent plea. My husband and I just cannot properly manage The Angel of Hope any longer but we do not want the memorial to fall into disrepair. The memorial is city property but the management is a 501 (C) 3 non profit corporation. We need either a committee of like minded individuals who want to see that the memorial is cared for or a couple of area businesses or clubs or church groups to come together as the new corporation dedicated to the memorial. We have one individual that is willing to step up but we need a few more individuals to help out or a club or church group that can help. This would not require much time dedication. Required responsibility -
over see landscaping upkeep. My husband can still help with this for awhile or it can be hired out or rely completely on volunteers.
