For students majoring in mental health professions who need financial assistance, and for people of all ages experiencing life issues that could be helped with basic mental health counseling, R.O.S.E.S. Scholarships of up to $3,000 per academic year are offered to students in high school, undergraduate and graduate college/university programs, and certificate programs in psychology, medical, a
nd counseling programs of accredited institutions. Unlike other scholarships that are mostly based on financial need and merit, ours are distributed based on the student’s commitment to the profession and good academic standing. Unlike the vast majority of mental health counseling programs, we offer free counseling to those experiencing general mental health distress. ROSES stands apart as a 501 c3 (registered in Maryland) rather than a foundation or a scholarship. We are independent (not affiliated with professional nor academic institutions), which allows us to be broad-based in our programs and flexible to meet changing mental health needs. Through our programs, we intend to empower students to create the mental health career they want while demonstrating passion and commitment to people in need.
