Last Tuesday our club recognized Fire Prevention Week with a presentation from Olmsted Falls Fire Chief Chris Methvin. He covered a number of topics related to fire safety. We also had a short presentation of an Eagle Scout project from Tyler McClelland. As we typically do, we presented the future Eagle with a check to help defray expenses of his project.

Last Sunday we held the annual Free Homecoming Pancake Breakfast at Olmsted Falls High School. As always, the community showed up and we served over 600 breakfasts. Many thanks to the 45 members of Key Club, 14 members of Builders Club, and numerous members of the football and golf team who helped by serving beverages and seconds, setting up and cleaning up tables, and washing trays. And grateful thanks to those attending for their generous donations.

Last Tuesday the club held an annual program for September. We hosted all of the teachers who are new to the Olmsted Falls schools this year. They were introduced by the building principals. This was the smallest group of new teachers in recent memory. Counting the administrators who did the introductions and Superintendent Jim Lloyd, there were just 17 of them.
