As we conclude our reflections on the incredible individuals recognized during the 2026 Best of Olmsted celebration this past June, we save one of the evening's most memorable moments for last.
The Best of Olmsted Committee managed to keep one final surprise under wraps—recognizing one of their very own.
This year's Pride of Olmsted Award was presented to Donna Winter, Executive Director of the Olmsted Community Center.
For more than a decade, Donna has been at the helm of the Olmsted Community Center, helping guide its growth while remaining dedicated to the mission that has served our community since the very beginning. Her vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment have strengthened countless programs, partnerships, and opportunities for residents of all ages.
Those who know Donna know that she is rarely the one seeking recognition. Instead, she is usually the person behind the scenes making sure others have the opportunity to shine. That made this surprise all the more special.
Congratulations, Donna, on receiving the 2026 Pride of Olmsted Award. Thank you for your years of service, your steadfast leadership, and for everything you continue to do to make the Olmsted Community Center and our entire community a place where people belong.
You truly embody the spirit of the Best of Olmsted.
