❤️ In Memory of Bob Spencer

It is with heartfelt sadness that The University of Olivet shares the passing of Robert “Bob” Lyn Spencer on June 14, 2025.

For 28 years, Bob was a dedicated member of our food services team, serving generations of students, faculty and staff with kindness, consistency and a smile. His strong work ethic, loyal spirit and genuine care for others made him a beloved figure across campus — and an irreplaceable part of The University of Olivet family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kempf Family Funeral Home in Marshall, Michigan.

The last full week of school brings plenty to do at The University of Olivet:
Tuesday, April 15, 7 p.m., Gospel Choir, Cutler Student Center Community Room
Wednesday, April 16, 4 p.m., The University of Olivet Wind Ensemble, Cutler Student Center Community Room
Wednesday, April 16, 6 p.m., Honors Convocation, Mott Auditorium
Thursday, April 17, 7 p.m., Choir Concert, Olivet Congregational Church.
All events are free and open to the public.
The campus is closed on April 18, Good Friday. The last day of classes is April 22, with exams following.
The Intensive Learning Term begins Monday, April 28.

Sad news - Wonderful Ute Chase, who for years once graced the Physical Plant department as an administrative assistant, has died.
She was the flower lady at graduations - donating and planting red and white geraniums to line the path of the graduating class. Quite a quiet tribute to the college and to her gardening skills.
A hard-working, charming, talented woman.
Sympathies to her husband Chris.
