Veterans and their guests of all ages are invited to enjoy FREE hot breakfast at Tri-County DAV Chapter #26 on Saturday 26 September 2026 compliments of Align9 in Lenoir City. Coffee and conversation at 0800. ETMAC - East Tennessee Military Affairs Council provides the coffee - you do the rest. Chow line opens at 0830. Volunteers with the Chapter and Oak Ridge NJROTC will be serving Swaggerty's Farm sausage, scrambles eggs and biscuits & gravy prepared by our friends at Food City. Join us for food and fellowship, meet Derrick and learn about Align9. We will draw for door prizes and dismiss at 0930.

If you or someone you know is struggling to find affordable housing, needs help with rent or a deposit, or is looking for emergency or short-term housing, there are resources available even when one housing waitlist is closed.

The Oak Ridge Housing Authority has put together a list of additional housing resources throughout the area, including:

🏡 Section 8 Apartments
🏡 Section 8 for Elderly/Disabled
🏡 Housing Choice Vouchers
🏡 Emergency & Short-Term Housing
🏡 Rent, Utility & Deposit Assistance
🏡 Transportation and other helpful services

There are several organizations listed, including ETHRA, THDA, Aid to Distressed Families, TORCH, KARM, and others.

📞 Please don’t assume there is no help available just because one waiting list is closed. Call the organizations directly to ask about eligibility, availability, and how to apply.
