The Talent Hunt program is part of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.'s national efforts to recognize and support youth talent. It provides a platform for young people to display their skills and gain recognition for their artistic abilities.

The Psi Mu Mu Chapter will host its annual Talent Hunt showcase on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Brown Baptist Church, located at 7200 Swinnea Rd., Southaven, MS.

Prize Amounts:
1st Place: $900
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place: $300

To Participate:
~The contestant must be a high school student.

The founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recognized the importance of scholarship, hence establishing it as one of the fraternity’s four cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Thus, the Psi Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated proudly supports local graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education via the W.E. Bingham Memorial Scholarship.
The 2025 W.E. Bingham Scholarship essay contest is now available to high school students enrolled in the DeSoto County, MS school district. Please contact your school counselor or visit http://www.desotoques.com/?page_id=3857 to access the application. All applications must be postmarked or emailed no later than March 31, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. DeSoto County, MS Resident
2. Graduating senior at a DeSoto County Secondary School
3. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
4. Completed application and 500-750 word essay.

Scholarship Award Amounts:
1st Place - $900.00
2nd Place -$500.00

This year's premier event will feature dancing, live entertainment (Bird Williams & the BW Band), DJ Soso Saboo, a full-catered meal and an open bar all nightlong! Your support is appreciated as we continue to provide educational funding for local high school seniors.

We will be attempting to provide job seekers with extra avenues towards career opportunities. This event will be a great networking opportunity for both growing businesses and future employees who are eager to work.
