Congrats Corey!

"Corey Toombs, a single father of a teenage-old son, is our Firefighter of the Year. Corey has been a volunteer firefighter with SPOFR for three years. He has a CLASS A CDL, so he is very capable of driving our engines and tenders. He also was on two wildland fire teams during the summer of 2022 in Colville and the Wagner fires. In addition, Corey worked on the Oregon Road and Gray road fires. Corey received an accommodation as he returned through Spokane to a vehicle emergency call from Spokane Fire. Corey also was very helpful in setting up the Fire Academy training grounds and assisting Captain Jake Hogue with the testing. He is also the resident firefighter at Station 32 in Sacheen Lake. Congratulations, Corey, on being our Firefighter of the Year recipient!"
