In many circles, travel baseball culture has evolved into and
has created an environment of a “me first” attitude. Players and parents are often times too worried about their playing time, their uniforms, their championship tally and what a team can do for them. FACTR Baseball strives to create balance in baseball between taking and giving – while teaching valuable life lessons and instilling noble core values within our young adults and leaders of tomorrow. FACTR Baseball – an acronym which stands for “Find a Cure Through Recruiting Baseball” – supports various cancer causes with a focus on childhood cancer. FACTR teams:
* Raise funds to provide financial relief for families with a child suffering from cancer
* Raise awareness of childhood cancer
* Build character and put life “in perspective” for the players on FACTR teams
* Help provide exposure to the participating players to showcase their abilities to college coaches and MLB scouts
FACTR Baseball will be available for all ages of athletes, with slightly unique missions for each group. For the older teams, FACTR players unite to benefit themselves by securing college scholarships, while giving back to others during the process. For younger FACTR players, time is spent learning the value of good sportsmanship, good attitude, and good fundamental baseball, while giving back to their community and making new friendships. Our organization is comprised of 18U, 14U, 11U, 10U, and 9U teams for Spring/Summer 2016.
