Through generous support from the Helios Education Foundation and Census Equity Initiative, FPN completed a recent grant cycle to fund organizations working to raise awareness of the 2030 Census and Civic Engagement initiatives in hard-to-count communities.

Organizations awarded were all previous Florida Counts grantees and will participate in the Florida Counts Learning cohort. A total of $75,000 was distributed to 15 organizations. A special thanks to Sabeen Perwaiz of the Florida Nonprofit Alliance for joining the evaluation team.

Today we are spotlighting the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, a long-time FPN member that is building the future of Central Florida. Their new home, The Edyth in Winter Park, serves as a landmark for collaboration, a place where nonprofits can gather, learn, and grow.

Under the leadership of President and CEO David Odahowski, the foundation continues the legacy of its founder, Edyth Bassler Bush, by prioritizing:

✅ Needy children and families
✅ Human services and health care
✅ Strengthening nonprofit management

Between providing $36,000 for bionic arm assessment rooms at Limbitless Solutions to also leveraging a 36:1 impact ratio with Delivering Good, they are making every dollar count. 💸📈

We are so proud to have EBCF in our network! Drop a ❤️ to show some love for the incredible work they do in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake counties.

Philanthropy plays a critical role in sustaining our state's cultural infrastructure. Beyond the gallery walls and theater stages, the arts are a massive economic driver—creating jobs, boosting local tourism, and sparking innovation in our workforce.

When FPN members support the arts, they aren't just funding "extras." They are:
✨ Fostering Education: Enhancing cognitive development and creative problem-solving in schools.
✨ Building Community: Creating shared spaces that bridge social divides.
✨ Economic Resilience: Supporting the creative economy that makes Florida a world-class destination.

What is your favorite local arts organization or project? Give them a shoutout in the comments! 🎭👇

Why is private giving so important to America? Because it puts the power of change directly into the hands of neighbors helping neighbors. ❤️☀️

"Sweet Charity" by Karl Zinsmeister, isn't just about the dollar amount; it’s about the intentionality. Private philanthropy allows for:
🌱 Niche support for the environment.
📚 Tailored programs for local education.
🏥 Innovative healthcare solutions for our most vulnerable.

In Florida, our private grant makers are the backbone of our four pillars. They see the gaps and fill them with heart, data, and dedication. 🌴🏛️
