This saturday,June 27th from 11-1 pm the occ will have a pork loin meal with pork loin sandwiches,baked beans,chips,and sdsu ice cream!!! It is a fund raiser, with a free will donation,and to go boxes will be avaiable.There may be pork loin meat available to purchase,depending how much meat we use for the meal.We will also be selling raffle tickets if you have not already purchased raffle tickets,for the e bike,portable cooler and the portable power station.Hope you can attend this saturday!

OCC Minutes from June meeting

OCC Meeting Minutes (unapproved)
June 2, 2026 @ 4:00 pm @ OCC lunchroom

Brad Folsland called the meeting to order
Present were: Brad Folsland, Larry Mortinsen, Roger Eide, Myron Moen and Deann Hildebrandt
Secretary Report was read by Deann Hildebrandt. Larry Mortinsen made the motion to approve the Secretary report; Roger Eide seconded. Motion passed.
Treasurer report was read by Roger Eide. Balance on hand is $31749.73 with $16950.00 being designated to the roof fund leaving an operating balance of $14,799.73. A motion to transfer $1,000 from the checking account to the roof fund was made by Larry Mortinsen and 2nd by Roger Eide. Motion passed. Myron Moen made the motion to approve the Treasurer report; Larry Mortinsen seconded. Motion passed.

Old Business:
OCC Donation given in Memory Plaque is still in the process of being made. Stain and lettering has been chosen. Hoping to have the plaque completed soon.
Discussed putting a OCC sign below the new Museum sign located on the east side of town. Brad will check on cost of getting a sign from Lyles Sign and a decision will be made at the July meeting.
The OCC Pie and Ice Cream Social held on May 29th was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended!

New Business:

Discussion was had regarding filling out a grant application for the Alliance communications "Keep the change" grant. This grant is given out every quarter and if money is received the project the money is used for must be completed in 6 months. It was decided to apply for the grant closer to when we know the roof project will be scheduled to start.
On June 27th from 11:00 - 1:00 there will be a Pork Loin Meal Fundraiser held at the OCC. A meal of Pork Loin, pork and beans, chips and drink will be served. Any extra cooked and sliced loins will be sold for $3 a lb. This is a free will donation event. Everyone is welcomed to come and enjoy good food and fellowship.
The "E-bike" raffle ticket event is going well. Plans are to get permission to sell tickets at other area events such as the Ramona 4th of July.
Myron gave an update on the SDIC. He is still hoping to host a 4 team 5-6 grade basketball tournament to be held at the OCC. Date to be determined. Pastor Caleb is aware that the OCC is available to him to host a one day VBS. He is uncertain at this time as to when that event will occur.

Next Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 4pm at the OCC lunchroom.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Roger Eide and seconded by Larry Mortinsen . Motion passed

Are u looking for a place to have a birthday party,anniversary,family reunion or class reunion this summer? May i suggest our oldham community center. Rental fee is $100 for the gym and kitchen,and the kids can run around the gym or play basketball.cell phone if interested is 605 480 1612.and you can bring in alcoholic beverages to your event.$150 deposit is required. Thank you and have a great summer!
