Final update of the Chessie News. After a last minute flyer addition, they were put in the mail this afternoon. This issue also has the 2027 calendar with it. If you are not a member, we have them for sale also. They are $22 plus shipping. Drop us line if you are interested.

Another quick update on the next issue. I received an email today from the printer. The next issue has been shipped and will be here by Friday. I will be starting the mailings tonight and I hope Saturday to possibly mail it.

Just a heads up. The next issue is done and has been sent to the printer. I should have it in less than 2 weeks.

Just a few things. First I want to thank everyone who came out to shows we did recently including Van Wert Ohio and the St Louis RPM Meet. Second, now that my show season has a window I have almost finished the next issue of the News. I need a front cover photo and about half a page of text and it will be ready for proof reading and then the printer.

We are shocked and saddened to report the passing of E Roy Ward last night. Roy was a prolific railroad photographer with more than a few book titles to his name and images in countless others. He was the builder of the HO scale West Virginia Central & Pittsburg RR, set in the 1950's with a strong WM influence. But most importantly he was a friend to a significant number of CSHS members, always willing to share his time and knowledge. Our condolences to his family (and his four legged companion). God speed, Lad.

Just quick update on the next issue. I have started it and I think I have enough articles to fill it. As always I am looking for any articles big or small. I will have a slow down over the next 2 weeks due commitments at a couple show for the Society.

Just a few quick show announcements. The Chessie System Historical Society will be in Van Wert, Ohio on July 17th and 18th at the Fairgrounds. The weekend after we will be at the St Louis RPM meet in Collinsville, Illinois. Come on out and see us. Flyers are attached. .
