On March 3rd we had two Scout Complete their Life Scout Board of Reviews. A BIG Congratulations to Austin and Aiden for getting one step closer to Eagle. It may be a Big step but you are both doing great things and can’t wait to see you Fly High! Eagle Bound! 🦅⚜️

We have a handful of trees left and now is the best time to get one as we are selling the rest at $35 per tree. We will have someone out selling them Saturday 12-3.

Last night at the RSU 34 School Board meeting, JROTC Cadet Ian Aldrich was awarded the prestigious Legion of Valor Award. The Legion of Valor is a veterans' organization that honors exceptional JROTC cadets with the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement, recognizing outstanding military, academic, leadership, and community service, with only twenty-seven cadets earning this distinction nationwide, making it one of the highest honors for high school JROTC students. As an aside, this is the fifth cadet from Old Town High School to earn the Legion of Valor award in the last six years. Presenting Ian with his plaque are Hunter Umphrey (RSU 34 School Board Chair) and Captain (Retired) Alan Johnston. Congratulations Ian! We are proud of you!

Closing Ceremonies on Saturday, Troop 76 did amazing this year winning the Dead Duck award, best Mile swim time, 4th in the Pamola relay (Scout Team), 3rd (Asult Team), and taking home the overall winners of the Whetmore Cup!
It was a great week and everyone enjoyed themselves and the weather held out Amazingly for us!
Thank you to all the Scouts and Adults that attended and made it a GREAT week!

Day 5!
Closing out all Merit Badge stuff today and making sure everything was complete. Archery shooting for fun, rifle and shotgun cleaning the guns graphic design sharing the flyers they made with EVERYONE! Sailing just out having fun.
Pamola relay and Lip Sync in the afternoon. The adults were allow to enter a team so 76 teamed up with 72 and 1 from Troop 160 from South Florida and with unofficial results the Adult group came in 3rd and the Boys finished just behind in 4th out of 8 Teams.
The Lip Sync was great time and a lot of the troop took part as backup dancers for a couple of songs and Nolan did a Solo. Everyone had fun even though it was very warm on the field.
Closing Camp Fire was great and put on very well, it was a great week and tomorrow we have the closing ceremony and awards starts at 8.

I forgot to share the video of Ian finishing the Mile swim. If you notice the very end he felt the need to do a couple butterfly strokes thanks to the suggestion of Jesse the Assistant Waterfront Director. He swam the mile in 28:20.20, and according to Will the Director it is a new Camp record.
