UPDATE:
As of about 2:30 those 20 miles were absolutely CRUSHED! Instead of slowing down Austin picked up the pace and did the last 8 or so miles in about 3 hours. GREAT JOB AUSTIN! Thank You to everyone that came out to support him in finishing his Hiking Merit Badge! ❤️

That’s our SPL! Great Job! 🇺🇸🫡

Last night at the RSU 34 School Board meeting, JROTC Cadet Ian Aldrich was awarded the prestigious Legion of Valor Award. The Legion of Valor is a veterans' organization that honors exceptional JROTC cadets with the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement, recognizing outstanding military, academic, leadership, and community service, with only twenty-seven cadets earning this distinction nationwide, making it one of the highest honors for high school JROTC students. As an aside, this is the fifth cadet from Old Town High School to earn the Legion of Valor award in the last six years. Presenting Ian with his plaque are Hunter Umphrey (RSU 34 School Board Chair) and Captain (Retired) Alan Johnston. Congratulations Ian! We are proud of you!
