River Coalition Building partnerships for safe and healthy communities in Northern Penobscot County.

The River Coalition is a member of the Partnership for Healthy Northern Penobscot County along with the Katahdin Area Partnership and the SPRINT for Life Coalition. These coalitions together form a Healthy Maine Partnership serving Northern Penobscot County from Old Town to Patten, ME. Local Healthy Maine Partnerships are funded to implement comprehensive community-level interventions that promote

and support a healthier lifestyle. Interventions emphasize developing policies and making changes to the local environment. At the local level, services are delivered through community coalition based structures to address:

Please Join the Save a Life Task Force for Community- Parent Drug Awareness Forum.

The Penobscot County Sherriff’s Department, LPD & Maine State Police will be providing information of the newest trends and slangs of drug misuse, signs and symptoms, paraphernalia, synthetic drugs and much more. Information will be provided to parents on “How can you reduce the risk of drug misuse by youth”, and “How to communicate with your child about drugs.”
