Greater Pushaw Lake Association GPLA's mission is to preserve and improve the quality of Pushaw Lake and Little Pushaw Pond. We hope you will join us in our efforts and activities.

GPLA is a membership organization that includes both year-round and seasonal residents who live along the shores of Pushaw & Little Pushaw in Orono, Glenburn, Hudson and Old Town. The Greater Pushaw Lake Association (GPLA) is a membership organization that includes both year-round and seasonal residents who live in more than 900 camps and homes along the shores of Pushaw Lake in south-central Penobscot County, Maine. Our membership is drawn from thirteen distinct lakeside neighborhoods, each of which has its own camp owners, lake, and/or road association. The shoreline is in four municipalities: Glenburn, Hudson, Old Town, and Orono. The larger lake watershed includes eight municipalities and an estimated 10,000 people.

UPDATE on survey for invasive plants

From Lake Stewards of Maine:
“We have officially finished our survey on Pushaw Lake and Little Pushaw Pond! We found no invasive plants, but we saw wonderful wildlife, stunning vistas, and beautiful native plants. We will be pulling together a report on our survey week and will send it out as soon as it's ready.”

GPLA:
Now we have to do our part on the lake and keep invasive plants out:
CLEAN, DRAIN AND DRY BOATS BROUGHT IN FROM OTHER LAKES!

Invasive plants can take over a lake make it unusable for humans, wildlife and fish plus reduce property values and tax income for towns.
