Welcome, tiny Chickpea. ❤️

This little darling came to us yesterday, but honestly, she's in such rough shape that we weren't even sure we were going to post her. We had her to the vet immediately and she's got some major heart issues beyond the usual murmurs that we often see. She was struggling yesterday and we considered letting her go at that time, but decided to wait overnight and see how she did. She's more comfortable today so we discussed her with our vets again and are waiting for a consult with the cardiologist. She might not survive that long, but she seems comfortable now in her little heated bed, and her appetite is good. She’s probably a hospice case and we are very much concerned about quality of life and her comfort so we will continue to assess her throughout each day.

Chickie is 2 pounds and maybe 4 months old. Our shelter friends reached out to us for help and were hoping to give her some sweet time.
