We were honored to welcome Troop 26 Old Lyme, CT to High Hopes and share more about our mission, programs, horses, and community. What began as a visit quickly became a meaningful conversation about service, connection, and the many ways people can make a difference close to home. 💛🐴

We are especially grateful for the troop’s interest in continuing their partnership with High Hopes through future volunteer days, trail improvement projects, and collaboration on the Horsemanship Merit Badge program.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Pam Vasiliou 🌟

Pam found her way to High Hopes through a friend who mentioned the need for volunteers, and we’re so grateful she did.

Whether she’s welcoming visitors at the front desk each Tuesday or helping bring our Gala Auction to life, Pam brings warmth, kindness, and dedication to everything she does.

For Pam, the best part of volunteering is the people. She especially loves seeing the joy and excitement of our participants. One moment that has stayed with her was during COVID, when a participant approached the front desk, introduced himself, and offered a handshake — a simple but meaningful reminder of the connection and community found at High Hopes.

Outside of High Hopes, Pam enjoys gardening, reading, spending time with her growing family of grandchildren, and indulging in coconut cake and ice cream. 🍰✨
