Lyme Hunter Pace

Lyme Hunter Pace The Lyme Hunter Pace is a cross-country ride with a partner over the beautiful trails of Lord Creek Farm on the banks of the CT River in Old Lyme. Be on time.

The course is up to 8 miles and includes optional 2-3’ jumps; riders may go over or around all fences. DIRECTIONS: From I -95 South – Exit 70, at the end of ramp, go straight ¼ mile to T; turn right on Rte. 156 North; go 2.6 miles; Lord Creek Farm is on left. From I-95 North - Exit 70; at end of ramp go left onto Rte. 156N; go 2.6 miles; Lord Creek Farm is on the left. From Rte. 11 South to Rte. 8

2 West - go south on Rte. 156 for 6 miles, farm on right.

What is a Hunter Pace? TEAMS of 2-3 will be limited to a time of go between 8 – 11 AM. All Hunters MUST leave before Hilltoppers and will be given a time between 8-9:30AM
Hilltoppers will be assigned times of go after Hunters. Unfortunately, if you miss your time of go, we cannot guarantee you another starting opportunity due to large number of entries. Indicate on the entry form your preferred time of go and we will try to accommodate you. CHECKPOINT: Riders must check in for a mandatory 3 minute hold at the half-way mark. ENTRY FEE: $65 per rider to include lunch. Early registration discount of $10 for entries received prior to August 25th. Time of go will not be guaranteed unless accompanied by the entry fee, which must be received by Sept. 3rd. Proof of a negative Coggins and rabies within 12 months are required with entry. Make checks payable to: Lyme Trail Association. Entry fees will be refunded in full until Sept. 3rd. After Sept. 3rd no entry fee will be refunded without a note from a doctor or veterinarian.

Mark your calendars! The Lyme Hunter Pace returns Sunday, September 13th at the beautiful Lord Creek Farm in Lyme, Connecticut.

Ride through miles of scenic private trails with sweeping views of the Connecticut River, navigate a marked course with optional fences, and enjoy one of the most memorable hunter pace experiences on the shoreline.

Whether you come for the ride, the views, or the camaraderie, it is a day you will not want to miss!

We’re still smiling after an unforgettable day at Lord Creek Farm! Over 40 teams and 88 riders turned out for perfect weather, beautiful trails, and horse-powered fun.

Grab your riding buddy and saddle up for 9 miles of gorgeous trails, fresh air, and a little friendly competition. 🐎🌿 Whether you’re here for a lively gallop or a relaxed ride, you’ll navigate a marked course with optional 2–3’ jumps (over OR around!).

🎯 The challenge: Finish closest to the secret optimal time and win ribbons in your division—Hunter, Hilltopper, or Youth.
