Calling all Essex Savings Bank account holders. 📣 It's that time of year again.

Ruth Ann Heller Music Foundation has been selected to be included on the customer ballot in Essex Savings Bank’s Community Investment Program this year. Each year the Bank pledges to donate up to 10% of its after-tax net income to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations and community development projects operating in the towns of Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Guilford, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.

Voting starts February 1 and concludes February 28

Just log into your online account at essexsavings.com to cast your vote or visit any branch for a paper ballot to vote for our organization. If you don't have an account at ESB, it's not too late to open one so you can participate in the voting. Each Essex Savings Bank customer will be allowed to complete one ballot with up to three votes. Each organization will receive funds proportional to the number of votes received. Let's flood Essex Savings Bank with our votes.🎯

Here are some facts about Ruth Ann Heller Music Foundation you might not know!

✓ This Foundation was set up to honor long-time Lyme/Old Lyme Band Director, Ruth Ann (King) Heller who educated her students in the value of quality music making, dedication and excellence.

✓ The RAHMF was established in 2001 as a non-profit foundation.

✓ $101,000 dollars in private lesson scholarships have been awarded to 449 Lyme/Old Lyme Middle and High School band students, ages 11 – 18

Your tax-deductible monetary donation will help us to reach the 500 student mark in our 25th year of awarding deserving students to study their band instrument with a private teacher.
Help us to help the next generation of musicians to enjoy the art of music making!

Attention all Lyme-Old Lyme Region #18 Band Members!

It’s time again to get your applications in. This year’s deadline is Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

To apply, you must:

-Be a member of the Lyme-Old Lyme Band.
-Fill out the Scholarship Application provided by your Band Director.
-Make sure the application is signed by your parent/guardian.
-Submit your application to Jacob Wilson (LOLHS) for his/her recommendation by the deadline of Tuesday, October 1, 2024

The Ruth Ann Heller Music Foundation is pleased to announce its annual music scholarships. These merit based scholarships are awarded to Band students in both Lyme-Old Lyme High School and Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School and are intended to help pay for private lessons on your instrument between January 1 and September 1, 2025.

We congratulate you on your participation in the Lyme-Old Lyme Instrumental Music Program and we encourage you to take advantage of this scholarship opportunity to enhance your playing skills.
