The Power of a Blanket

There is something deeply humbling about watching someone walk into my containers, sifting through the donations, and finding a blanket that speaks to them. In that moment, their entire expression shifts—from exhaustion and defeat to pure comfort and relief.

Among everything I have in there—clothes, food, supplies—it’s always the blankets that get them. Maybe it’s the warmth, maybe it’s the sense of security, or maybe it’s just the simple reminder that someone cares. That even in the chaos, they are seen. They are valued.

These moments are both life-changing and heart-wrenching. They remind me why I do this. Because sometimes, hope looks like a soft, warm blanket in the middle of the storm.

Update on Baby Wil’Loh

We have an important update to share about Baby Wil’Loh’s journey. Tomorrow morning, she will be transferred to Wake Forest Hospital so she can receive specialized care from ear, nose, and throat specialists. This is crucial for addressing her small nasal cavity and airway issues, and we are hopeful this move will provide her with the best possible care.

However, this transition comes with added challenges for her family. They do not have a vehicle and will need help getting to the hospital to be with Wil’Loh during this critical time. If anyone is able to donate a vehicle or assist in any way, the family would be beyond grateful.

Additionally, any donations—big or small—will help this family cover transportation, lodging, and other essential expenses as they navigate this new chapter.

Please continue to keep Wil’Loh and her family in your prayers. Your kindness and support mean the world to them as they face these challenges together.

ATTENTION PLEASE!! I am working 20+ hours a week with TurboTax, I have my own tax business, & I’m trying to run this nonprofit all at the same time.

I can’t just run out there whenever like I was able to do & I can’t go sit out there because there’s no heat & it’s too cold.

I have to work to make money to keep this nonprofit going, & I’m not going to lie, I am struggling.

Please check with me first before you make a trip up here to get something because I don’t want anyone making a trip for nothing.

🚨 Urgent Help Needed for Baby Willow and Her Family 🚨

Keandra and William’s journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking. After Hurricane Helene left them homeless, Keandra—already battling lupus—went into labor at just 31 weeks and underwent an emergency C-section. Since then, Baby Willow has been fighting for her life in the NICU.

On January 9, during an attempt to place a feeding tube, Baby Willow’s throat collapsed, and she needed 4 minutes of chest compressions to be resuscitated. She is now intubated, with her tiny hands bound to prevent her from removing the breathing tube.

This incredible family is currently living in a hotel near the hospital with no vehicle and relying on public transportation. William works at Subway in the hospital to stay close, but their expenses are overwhelming.

I’m asking for your help to give them hope and stability during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward:

I just went to meet this young lady to give her a heater. She was bundled up from head to toe just recovering from pneumonia.

🔥The need for warmth is very real. I have gone nonstop for 2 days dropping off heaters, propane, kerosene, and anything else I have to help people stay warm.

My nonprofit needs funding y’all. I want to continue to be able to help others, but I can’t do it alone.
