🌟The Old Forge Borough Community would like to recognize and congratulate Old Forge High School Miss Devilette Isabella Orr! 🔱

🔹Isabella represents the pride and tradition of Old Forge with grace, spirit, and leadership. As Miss Devilette, she plays a vital role in leading our cheerleaders, band, marching units, and all performers bringing energy and enthusiasm to every pep rally, game day, and community event. Her dedication and school spirit are a true reflection of what it means to be a Blue Devil.

🔹We congratulate Isabella on this well-deserved honor and thank her for representing Old Forge High School and our community with such distinction.

CONGRATULATIONS, COACH BEVIGLIA!

⭐️The Old Forge Borough Community page proudly congratulates Coach Bob Beviglia, an Old Forge native, on being selected as a member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026!

• Coach Beviglia has built an outstanding legacy in Northeastern Pennsylvania basketball, most recently leading the Scranton Prep Classics. Over 11 seasons, he compiled an incredible 240–53 record, a testament to his dedication, leadership, and commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the court.

• Under his leadership, the Classics captured eight consecutive Lackawanna League Division I championships from 2018 through 2025, along with four straight District 2 Class 4A titles. His accomplishments have also earned him Times-Tribune Coach of the Year honors four times.

• But beyond the wins, championships and accolades is something that makes this recognition especially meaningful to our community. Coach Beviglia is one of our own. As an Old Forge native, his success is another wonderful example of the talent, dedication and determination that continues to come from our hometown.

• The Northeastern Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will officially be inducted on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Fiorelli’s in Peckville.

📢Old Forge Borough Honors Native Son Joe Amato

🌟At last week's Old Forge Borough Council regular meeting, Mayor Legg, Borough Council, and the Borough Manager were proud to recognize and present a proclamation to Mr. Joe Amato, Old Forge native and five-time NHRA Top Fuel World Champion.

• Joe Amato was born on June 13, 1944 in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, and went on to become one of the greatest drivers in motorsports history. He is a 5-Time NHRA Top Fuel Champion (1984, 1988, 1990-92), winning a record three championships in a row from 1990-1992.

• During his legendary career, Amato amassed 52 Top Fuel NHRA professional career victories and competed in 99 final rounds. He finished in the top ten in points for 19 consecutive seasons, was the first driver to exceed 260 mph and 280 mph, and won the prestigious Budweiser Shootout a record six times.

• Beyond his success on the track, Joe has been recognized for his lifelong dedication to his family, his community, and his business, building his family's auto parts store into Keystone Automotive, one of the largest automotive parts distributors on the East Coast.

• Old Forge Borough is proud to celebrate Mr. Amato not only for his historic achievements in NHRA Top Fuel drag racing, but for representing Old Forge with integrity, perseverance, and hometown pride.

👏🏼 Congratulations, Joe and thank you for inspiring generations of Old Forge residents.

Newly Remodeled Old Forge Senior Center

• The Old Forge Borough Community page is proud to share the news of the grand opening of the newly remodeled Old Forge Senior Center, located inside the Borough Building.

• Please join us next Wednesday, September 2, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM as the Borough celebrates this exciting update for our senior community.

• The event will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 AM, followed by refreshments, activities, and a preview of upcoming programs, agendas, and schedules designed specifically for our local seniors.

• This newly remodeled space reflects the Borough’s continued commitment to providing a comfortable, welcoming environment where seniors can connect, stay active, and access valuable resources right here in Old Forge.

• We invite all community members to attend the grand opening, tour the updated facility, meet the staff, and show your support for this important resource in our Borough.

✨We look forward to celebrating with you on September 2.

🌟The excitement is building, and we want the entire Old Forge community to come out and show your Blue Devils some love!

🔹Join us tomorrow evening at 7:15 PM at Veterans Memorial Stadium for the Old Forge Football Pep Rally!

🔹Come out and support our cheerleaders, marching units, band, coaches, and football players as we officially kick off the new season and get everyone fired up for their first game this Saturday!

🔹This is what community is all about, coming together, supporting our students, and showing our Blue Devils that the entire town is behind them!

💙💛 Let’s pack the stadium, make some noise, and send our Devils into Saturday’s game with plenty of Old Forge pride!

From all of us at the Old Forge Borough Community, we wish our Blue Devils, coaches, cheerleaders, marching units, and band a safe, successful and exciting season!
