🎭 Submit a proposal for the 22nd South Asian Theatre Festival!

It’s our pleasure to invite you/your respective theatre group/company to submit a proposal for the 22nd South Asian Theatre Festival!
Deadline to submit proposals: October 30th 2026

Please consider the following criteria before submitting the proposal:
• Festival schedule: April 30th – May 2nd 2027
• Run time: Not to exceed 90 mins
• Max no. of performers: 10-12 (max. 6-8 performers on stage at one time)
• Approx. Stage Size: 20’x16’X18” [Length x Depth x Height]
• Intimate space
• Limited set and prop requirements

Kindly include the following information in your proposal:
1. Name of the Production Company / Theatre Group:
2. Name of the Play
3. Language(s) of the Play
4. Playwright
5. Director
6. Director’s vision
7. Approx Duration
8. Number of Cast & Crew members.
9. Actors on stage (Max):
10. Short synopsis of the play (Maximum one page)

• Medea’s Sisters (English) by Epic Actors’ Workshop, NJ: bringing the flavor of Greek Theatre, reimagined in a modern and minimalist approach. Developed as a Greek Theater Lab production; directed by the renowned director and theatre practitioner from Kolkata, India, Abanti Chakraborty
