We have now driven 90 Ukrainian families from Romania back to their homes in Ukraine and reunited with loved-ones. We particularly try to help families who have difficulty traveling… people with disabilities, a mom with many children, families with pets, and the elderly. A Ukrainian mom wrote, “You and your friends solved the biggest problem with returning home for Ukrainian women with children and belongings. Our husbands cannot come to help us. We are very grateful to you for that.”

If you would like to help, 100% of your donation will be used to bring families home to Ukraine.

“We feel safer in Ukraine than we do in Israel"

At the beginning of Russia’s war, we worked with a Romanian rabbi to bring 380 Jewish people from their homes in Ukraine into Romania; the rabbi then brought them to Israel to be safe. Now, the rabbi is asking for our assistance again to transport them back to Ukraine. The families are saying “we feel safer in Ukraine than we do in Israel.” Over the next several weeks / months, we will work with this rabbi to bring Ukrainian-Jewish families back to their homes in Ukraine.

In total, we have brought 50 Ukrainian families from Romania back to their homes in Ukraine. If you would like to help, 100% of your donation will be used to bring families home to Ukraine.

In the past 3 months, we have brought 27 Ukrainian families from Romania to their homes in Ukraine to be reunited with their husbands/fathers. The following is a message from one of the women we assisted, "I want to thank you again for yesterday's trip. I did not even expect that such a difficult trip would be so easy and pleasant. Thank you for supporting Ukrainians in such a difficult time!"

If you would like to help, 100% of your donation will be used to bring families home to Ukraine.

We are now taking weekly trips into Ukraine to bring women and children home to their families. 60 families have requested our assistance. We are currently on the road bringing a family of 10 to their home near Poltava, Ukraine.

These trips are costly at $5-$7 a gallon for gas, hundreds of miles driven, and several days' journeys. We pay for hotels, meals, snacks, and whatever else our Ukrainian guests need on their journey home. If you would like to help, 100% of your donation will be used to bring families home to Ukraine.

Our Romanian partner, Avram Gal at 'Asociatia New Life Romania' has provided assistance for more than two thousand Ukrainian women and children since the start of the war nearly a year ago. In this video, a Ukrainian mom (after arriving in Romania with her children) expresses her gratitude:

‘I want to thank the organization New Life for help, support, for care, shelter, kindness, gentleness, and everything else. Thank you very much!’

If you would like to help the Ukrainians suffering from this war, 100% of your donation is used to take care of the needs of Ukrainian women and children while they are in Romania, and to bring them back to Ukraine when they are ready to go home.

What a great joy it is to see Ukrainian families reunited! In the past few months, we have had the privilege of bringing many Ukrainian women and children back to their husbands and fathers in Ukraine; many more want to go home. The Ukrainian government has asked families to wait until after winter to return to Ukraine because of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

We are preparing, with our Romanian partner Avram Gal at Asociatia New Life International, to take multiple trips from Romania into Ukraine this spring to bring many more Ukrainian families home. We need to purchase a reliable vehicle to safely transport families long distances across Ukraine. It costs approximately $20,000. If you would like to help, any amount donated towards the purchase of this vehicle would be most appreciated.

05/25/2022

Romanian immigration reports a 30% increase in Ukrainian women and children entering Romania from the week before due to Russian bombings in eastern Ukraine. A network of churches in Bucharest have become temporary shelters. After a few days staying at the shelters, many families are transferred to other European countries. Our Romanian partner places those desiring to stay in Romania within Romanian homes. Our partner has placed over 2,000 Ukrainian women and children in homes.

Our partner is also providing lunch and dinner each day for 110 women and children staying at one of the shelters; hot meals are purchased from a local restaurant. Avram Gal, at ‘Asociatia New Life International Romania’ requests our help, "Because we are limited in our resources, and the duration of the refugee crisis continues, we are reaching out to request your assistance in providing meals (about $4 a meal). This is a huge need, and we would be blessed to have your assistance in meeting this very tangible need."

If you would like to help the Ukrainians suffering from this war, 100% of your donation goes to help Romanians take care of Ukrainian women and children.

Today a group of Romanians, from the Good Samaritan Church in Ocna Mureș, brought ten of their Ukrainian guests back to their homes near Kiev. There was much joy in their hearts as they crossed the border into their own country. This photo shows the Ukrainians (who are now home) and the Romanians who took care of them for two months. These two groups of people have now become friends.

If you would like to help the Ukrainians suffering from this war, 100% of your donation goes to help Romanians take care of Ukrainian women and children (who daily still flee to Romania) and helps to bring them back home.

Recently a Ukrainian mother of seven children died. Even though their grandma has few resources, she took in all seven children. Also living in her house in Ukraine is another daughter with three children. Our Romanian partners have 'adopted' this Ukrainian family to help grandma care for all seven children. In the past few weeks Romanians have twice delivered large amounts of food, clothes, shoes, toys, diapers, kitchen items, towels, blankets, etc. to grandma's house in Ukraine (see attached photos).

You may see the children's joy receiving toys in this YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT0NkMGQz1c

Our Romanian partner ‘Asociatia New Life International Romania’ describes the effects of this war on Ukrainian children:

"There is an alarming increase in the number of orphaned Ukrainian children; their future will always bear the imprint of this atrocity. We recently traveled to Ukraine to bring food to a family whose mother has died. Although they hope for better days, their concern is visible. They do everything they can to support themselves, but the food crisis is affecting the whole country. War brings famine, orphaned children, and shattered dreams. Our Ukrainian brothers and sisters need our support!"

The Romanians continue to need our financial support to help their Ukrainian neighbors suffering from this war. If you would like to help, 100% of your donation goes to help Romanians provide food, clothes, necessities, transportation, and housing for the Ukrainian women, children, and elderly.
