WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FIVE WEEKS!
Our 5-Week Shooting & Ball Handling Academy has come to a close, and we couldn't be more proud of the commitment, enthusiasm, and growth displayed by our athletes throughout the program.
Over the past five weeks, 86 dedicated athletes from our Shake & Bake (Grades 2–5) and Swish Kebabs (Grades 6–8) groups came together twice each week with one goal in mind: to improve.
Throughout the five weeks, players focused on developing proper shooting mechanics and understanding the importance of shot preparation—learning how balance, rhythm, and a consistent follow through contribute to becoming a more effective shooter. Coupled with progressive ball-handling drills and competitive game situations, the improvement in both skill level and overall basketball IQ was evident from the first session to the last.
Equally impressive was the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by our players. Their willingness to work, compete, and embrace coaching created a positive and energetic learning environment each session.
A special thank you goes out to our outstanding coaching staff. Their passion for teaching, energy, and engagement helped make every session both challenging and enjoyable. The players fed off that enthusiasm, resulting in an atmosphere where learning and confidence could thrive.
At Old Bridge Hoops Academy, we believe real player development happens through repetition, instruction, and a commitment to continuous improvement—and these athletes embraced that process every step of the way.
Thank you to all of our players and families for another fantastic spring season. We are proud of the progress made and look forward to seeing these athletes continue to grow both on and off the court.
