☀️ Stay Safe in the Extreme Heat!
With an Extreme Heat Warning in effect, take extra precautions to protect yourself and those around you.
💧 Drink plenty of water — don’t wait until you’re thirsty.
🏠 Stay indoors or in air conditioning as much as possible.
🕶️ Limit outdoor activity, especially during the hottest part of the day.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing and sunscreen.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle — even for a few minutes.
❤️ Check on older adults, neighbors and anyone who may be especially vulnerable to the heat.
Know the signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, headache, nausea, weakness, confusion, or fainting. If symptoms are severe, seek medical help right away.
