Recently, our community came together around an important and powerful project focused on youth mental health and su***de prevention. What began as listening sessions with local youth evolved into something much bigger — a meaningful, student-led initiative designed to encourage conversations, increase awareness and remind young people that asking for help is a sign of strength.

We’re proud to share that Hannah Carlisle, RN, Clinic Director/Risk Compliance Officer, at HPC, recently served as a panelist for a national WomenHeart webinar focused on the Social Determinants of Health and cardiovascular care.

The discussion brought together healthcare professionals and patient advocates from across the country to talk about the barriers patients and clinicians face every day — including insurance challenges, medication affordability, time limitations and access to care.

As a local partner with WomenHeart Kansas City, HPC is committed to supporting education, awareness and patient-centered care for individuals impacted by heart disease and related health concerns.

During the webinar, Hannah highlighted the importance of individualized, compassionate care by tailoring education to each patient’s needs, helping patients find affordable medication options, connecting individuals with community resources and building trust through non-judgmental listening and support.

Thank you, Hannah, for representing HPC and helping advance conversations around patient-centered care and health equity.

Today, members of the Health Partnership Clinic team had the opportunity to tour the Quest Diagnostics facility in Lenexa, Kan. During the visit, our team participated in a welcome session, quality assurance overview, lab tour and business review.

As one of our valued community partners, Quest Diagnostics plays a vital role in supporting patient care by providing state-of-the-art laboratory services throughout the Midwest and beyond. We were impressed by the innovation and dedication demonstrated by their team every step of the way.

A special thank you to Quest Diagnostics for the warm hospitality, informative experience and continued commitment to enhancing health care in the communities we serve. Partnerships like these help strengthen access to high-quality, affordable care for our patients every day.

As we reflect on the incredible moments from our Opening Doors Luncheon one month ago, we want to once again recognize and celebrate Wy Jo Care, recipient of this year’s Founders Award.

Accepted by Karole Bradford and Lucinda Noches Talbert, the award honored Wy Jo Care’s extraordinary commitment to expanding access to specialty care for uninsured patients across our region.

Through the coordination of more than $8 million in donated medical services each year, Wy Jo Care helps thousands of individuals and families receive critical care that would otherwise be out of reach. For Health Partnership Clinic patients, this partnership has opened doors to essential services including physical therapy, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery and more.

These are more than referrals — they are opportunities for healing, renewed mobility, improved health and hope for a better future.

We remain deeply grateful to Karole and the entire Wy Jo Care team for their compassion, leadership and unwavering dedication to serving those most in need. Thank you for helping transform lives and strengthen the health of our community every single day.

One month ago, we gathered for our Opening Doors Luncheon and had the privilege of honoring an extraordinary leader, volunteer and advocate — Burnis Lance — with our Leadership Impact Award.

Today, we want to once again recognize Burnis for the incredible impact she has made — and continues to make — at Health Partnership Clinic and throughout our community.

A patient of Health Partnership Clinic since 1996 and a dedicated Board member since 2014, Burnis has helped guide our organization with integrity, compassion and wisdom. Through her leadership on our Finance and Nominating Committees, and in her role as Treasurer/Secretary, she has played an important role in strengthening our mission and ensuring the long-term sustainability of care for the patients and families we serve.

Her commitment to helping others extends far beyond our walls through volunteer service with organizations including Guadalupe Center, El Centro and Catholic Charities. Burnis leads with humility, purpose and heart — and her dedication continues to inspire all of us.

Thank you, Burnis, for your unwavering leadership, advocacy and compassion. Your impact is lasting, meaningful and deeply appreciated. 💙
