bills itself as a on which people can connect with other and share thoughts and information. Yesterday, I posted one of the most meaningful posts (meaningful to me) I have ever posted. It was about a book that was given to and inscribed for the author of the book. Did it express an opinion. Absolutely, an opinion is a thought. I was not promoting a business or selling a product.

I got not one like or comment. As far as I know, no one saw it.

, you are both a and . You want $ to my post. That is advertising. That is what do.

I cannot control whether the moderators of a debate play favorites. I cannot control how voters in Pennsylvania or any other swing state will vote. What I can do is pray. I have been praying for over two years that God would bring forth people who care DEEPLY about the truth. I was sharing with a friend yesterday the miracles I have witnessed. I can continue to pray for people on my prayer list. I have also witnessed miracles there.

That being said, I will continue to share facts as I understand them based on 48 years of daily political analysis. I welcome being challenged because the truth does not mind questions. I promise an open mind.

I got through another of Dad's boxes today. I found a few more seminary papers, and quite a bit more First Baptist Church of Spartanburg papers.

Of particular interest to me was a 10 page booklet by Pearl S. Buck titled "Can The Church Lead?" From the time frame of the other papers in the box, I would say this is an original copy from 1942. This would have been while Dad was a student at Mercer or the seminary.

He underlined the first half of one paragraph. "Now, if ever, the Church ought to furnish the leadership for our people to make the sacrifice of our prejudices and greed which through all of the centuries we have not been strong enough to make."

The rest of the paragraph is "If the Church cannot produce the necessary moral leadership then religion is dead indeed. It may be that religion is dead, and if it is, we had better know it and set ourselves to try to discover other sources of moral strength before it is too late."

It seems Dad took this to heart.

An editorial comment: Religion is not dead. Matthew 16:18. No, I am not a Catholic, but my pastor last year pointed out the gates are defensive armaments. Not offensive.
