Continuing our celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we're proud to recognize the employer partners who are helping create more inclusive workplaces throughout our community. At Betty Rae's Ice Cream, Anna and Zoe have become valued members of the team, bringing positivity, dedication, and enthusiasm to their work every day.

We're especially grateful to John, Production Manager at Betty Rae's Ice Cream (Olathe, KS), for championing inclusive employment and creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn new skills, build confidence, and contribute in meaningful ways. Our students recently participated in a cooking class focused on healthy eating, nutrition, and kitchen safety. Learning how to prepare healthy meals and safely navigate the kitchen are important life skills that help build confidence, independence, and overall well-being. Through hands-on kitchen activities, students gained practical knowledge they can use every day.

A special thank you to Joseph Vincelli, Chief Executive and Founder of The Artist Outreach, for traveling all the way from Texas to share this holistic learning experience with our students. We are grateful for your time, expertise, and dedication to empowering others through education and wellness. ✨
