Max’s Treehouse was created in 2014 by a young woman who grew up in foster care. She and her baby brother endured abuse, neglect & trauma while living at home. They were removed from their mother’s care at a young age and were raised in over 30 different foster homes. They were never adopted and both aged out of the system, left with little resources to take on the world. Her brother was left to o
nly find comfort amongst a group of lost boys. That is what she calls gangs, lost boys looking for a family. His gang roots are what took his life at the young age of 18. When they were little, amongst all the pain, they found it healing to dream about one day helping kids like them. She decided to go forth with their vision in her brother’s name and created this foundation. This is her way of creating a voice for children living in their own nightmare. The mission of Max’s Treehouse is to help bring awareness to the struggles and needs of children that are on their way to foster care or who are currently living in a foster home. We want to educate as many as we can with a raw and real perspective of what life is like for these kids and how we can help. We hope to bridge the gap between the “haves” and “have-nots” starting with the youth in our own neighborhoods. Max’s treehouse is for them, the ‘little braves’ of our community. These kids are real, they exist and they are in our schools and our towns. Help us make them feel loved during all seasons. Teaching our families to give to those that have less than we do is by far the best gift we can give our own children. We need your help. They are counting on us; lets not let them feel forgotten. We hold several drives for these kids and families. We give gifts that will be given to the little braves that find themselves away from home and looking for comfort and to be on someones radar. We want this to be a table top conversation and we are her to make that happen. 100% of all funds donated will go directly to buying gifts for these kids & families in need. Help us get the word out!
