What do you say when it’s over?
What do you say when a foundation’s biggest event each year for the last 12 has come to a close?
What do you say to the runners who chose to run in your race and support your fight?
What do say to all those people who helped build awareness of SMA and help families across the country who are battling the disease?
What do you say to the people who came out and ran 1 year, or 6 years, or maybe they were there running with you for all 12 races?
What do you say to those runners who came out from all over the metro area, and then what do you say to those who came from other states to be here?
What do you say to all those who came out to support our fight, to run in the name of our son, and to help other families just like ours?
What do you say to the people who took a Saturday to spend at your event?
What do you say to the sponsors who donated and supported the event and foundation?
What do you say to all those who volunteered on race day each year?
What do you say to those who worked all year to make one day so amazing?
What do you say to people who have dedicated a portion of their lives and taken time away from their families to help our cause?
What do you say to a race director who dedicated 12 years of her life to making that day each spring the absolute best it could be?
How do you explain to people how overwhelmingly grateful you are for their support?
We don’t know.
We feel that all words would fall short and all we can say is -
💙 THANK YOU! 💙
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all 12 BUG RUNs. We will miss that incredible day each spring but we will be forever touched by your support.
12 years…it was a great run.
