As we wrap up the last full day of school, these past two days have been such a beautiful reminder of everything our students have accomplished this year. ❤️🖤

Yesterday’s Awards Ceremony recognized so many students for their academic achievements, growth, state testing accomplishments, and the clubs and activities they committed themselves to throughout the year. The hard work, determination, and dedication these students have shown — especially our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders during state testing season — was truly something to celebrate.

Then today’s Talent Show brought an entirely different kind of achievement to the stage… courage.

The amount of bravery it takes to stand in front of an entire school full of peers and perform is incredible. Whether it was singing, dancing, comedy, instruments, karate, basketball tricks, or performing in another language, every single student who stepped onto that stage should be unbelievably proud of themselves.

From 5th grade band members practicing together on their own time, to talented piano players, beautiful voices singing in both English and Spanish, dancers staying perfectly on beat, students breaking boards in karate, showing off athletic skills, and even making an entire crowd laugh as comedians — the talent, practice, dedication, and heart behind every performance was amazing to witness.

But what may have been even more special was watching the support in the room. The cheering from peers. The encouragement from families. The smiles from teachers and staff. Students lifting each other up and celebrating one another is what makes Black Bob so special.

As this school year comes to a close and summer begins, it’s moments like these that remind us how much growth happens in one school year — academically, emotionally, socially, and personally.

We are so proud of every student who worked hard, took risks, tried something new, supported a friend, joined a club, practiced a talent, studied for a test, or simply kept showing up and growing every single day.

What an amazing way to end the year. ❤️🖤

Celebrate making it through another amazing school year with our final Restaurant Night of the year at Andy's Frozen Custard tonight from 4:00–8:00 PM!

Didn’t grab a sweet treat after the Talent Show, Awards Ceremony, or to celebrate the last full day of school? Tonight is the perfect excuse! 🎉

We’ve officially made it to the FINAL week of the 2025–2026 school year! ☀️🎓 From celebrating our seniors and 5th graders to awards, ice cream, and the final walk out — this week is full of special memories for our Thunderbirds!

It’s 5th Grade Kickball & Thunderbrew Coffee Line Day!

🥎 The 5th graders take on Black Bob teachers & staff at 2:00 PM
☕ Thunderbrew Coffee Line starts at 3:00 PM

Preorders are now CLOSED, but we do still have a limited amount of drinks available for walk-up and drive-thru purchases while supplies last 👏

🚗 Drive-Thru Directions:
After pickup, instead of turning left to exit the parking lot, simply turn right into the front parking lot and continue making your way toward the back of the school parking lot. We will be located in the last parking row near the back.

🍓 Strawberry Refresher
🍋 Lemonade

Please keep in mind this is a PTA fundraiser supporting Black Bob Elementary 💛

This fundraiser is also the last fundraiser physically held at Black Bob this school year. We do still have our Andy’s Frozen Custard Restaurant Night coming up on Wednesday, May 20 — the last full day of school and the last day of Early Education.

These final two fundraisers will directly support our Outdoor Classroom Project and long-term savings. Earlier this year, families voted on how to use our additional fundraising success, and the hybrid option won — meaning funds would both support teachers/classrooms AND begin saving toward an Outdoor Classroom project.

We are so thankful to share that teachers fully utilized the classroom grants provided this year thanks to your support! Remaining funds and proceeds from these last fundraisers will continue helping us build toward the Outdoor Classroom Project and long-term PTA savings.
