LEE'S SUMMIT MOBILE CANCELED
This Saturday, January 24th, due to extreme cold, for the safety of our patrons and volunteers, we will be cancelling our Lee’s Summit Mobile Pantry. If you or your family is in need of food, we will still have our Olathe mobile pantry on February 7th at Hope Chapel, 12480 Black Bob Rd in Olathe.

📢 Important Update: Mobile Food Pantry Closed This Saturday ❄️
Due to the extremely cold temperatures expected this Saturday, February 22nd, we have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s Open Arms Mobile Food Pantry to keep everyone safe. With wind chills expected in the single digits, we want to prioritize the well-being of both our volunteers and the families we serve.

We will miss seeing you this weekend but look forward to serving you again on Saturday, March 22nd! Please stay warm and take care.

Changes are coming. Starting in October the Walk-in Food Pantry and Clothing Boutique will be on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 12:00-2:00pm. October dates will be the 11th and 25th.
Also - the location of the pantry will move to the back entrance.
The mobile pantry will remain the 1st Saturday.

Got this from Robin Patterson who oversee's our SKCK location.
"~ The struggle to get food has been real. The demand from hungry clients is real. Harvesters has had a tough time supplying us with food. The upside of this is food gotten from Harvesters will remain free through June or July of 2023. If you sit at the laptop all day you can get stuff...lol. But, what has greatly helped SKCK is a couple of months ago a group of bars and clubs had a challenge of who could bring in enough food donations for our pantry. Moose Lodge won because the Mayor showed up there and did a Facebook Live.
Recently, our shelves once again became bare, no canned veggies. KC's Bar and Grill threw together a poker tournament and raised 250 bucks and went out and bought us veggies.
Right now, Big Ds heard about it and put back out their donation boxes and told me not to worry, food is on the way!
I was told Moose Lodge isn't about to be outdone by these rookies....lol.
I love when the community comes together to help the community!"
