The temperatures were cold and the wind chill made it down right frigid but 29 sleds left Oklee yesterday for our annual ride. The sun was out all day and it turned out to be a beautiful day for riding. Our group made our way to Pine Lake, Gully and Trail before ending up at TJ'S TAvern for great food, drawings and fantastic live music.

Thank you to everyone that came out for our ride and to all the support crews that joined us along the way. Special thank you to our local business sponsors for some great prizes.

Fantastic day for Snowmobile Safety Training yesterday! We certified 12 new riders and they all did fantastic. Snow is looking good for them to get out and ride this year! ❄️❄️❄️

❄️It’s that time of year again!❄️

Oklee Moonlights Snowmobile safety training is January 10th, 2026 at 1:00 in the RLCC Library.

Students must complete the online certification at https://www.snowmobilecourse.com before attending the class.
To sign up, call or text 218-686-8627. Students must be 11 years old to take the class, the certificate becomes valid at age 12.

Due to lack of snow conditions, our Snowmobile Safari scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, is canceled. Even though Mother Nature whitened things up a bit out there, it just isn’t enough to safely have the group ride.

Entertainment scheduled at TJ'S TAvern has been canceled as well. We thank you, TJ’s, for supporting our ride every year!

We hope to be back next year with more snow! ❄️❄️❄️

We had a perfect day yesterday for snowmobile safety training! We certified 7 students so they are set for some snowmobile adventures. This group was great, everyone participated and shared during the classroom portion and were excited for the outside riding. Thank you to the parents for acknowledging the importance of this training when you are young. And we even received a little bit of snow!❄️❄️❄️

Still time to sign up!

That time of year again! This snowy day gets us excited for the season ahead. Get your child certified in January.
Common questions:

*”My child is 11, can they take the class?”
YES! Their certificate becomes valid at age
12

* “ My child is 16, do they need to take your course?”
NO! But they do have to complete the online training at www.snowmobilecourse.com.

* “After what date do you have to legally have a snowmobile safety certificate to drive a snowmobile?”
Any resident born after December 31, 1976 requires a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile.

Class limited to 20 participants so we encourage our local youth to sign up early. Christmas break is a great time to complete the online portion. Call or text:218-686-8627
