Are you interested in helping shape the future of the respiratory care profession in Oklahoma?
In November, we will hold elections for several open positions on the 2027 OSRC Board of Directors. We anticipate 2027 being an exciting and important year for respiratory care in Oklahoma as we move forward with plans to join the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact.
Serving on the OSRC Board is a great opportunity to become more involved in our profession, represent respiratory therapists across the state, develop leadership skills, and help guide the future direction of the OSRC.
If you are interested in being considered for any of the officer positions listed below, please submit your application by 10/25 to [email protected] or contact us with any questions.
President-elect:
*3-year term (1 year as President-Elect, 1 year as President, 1 year as Past President)
*Learn the operations of the OSRC and prepare to lead the Board of Directors
*Work closely with and support the President in conducting meetings and carrying out OSRC initiatives
*Transition into the President role and provide leadership and direction to the organization
*Continue supporting the board as Past President to ensure continuity of leadership
Vice-President:
1-year term
*Support the President and Board of Directors in advancing OSRC goals and initiatives
*Assist with meetings, projects, and organizational activities
*Chair of the Education Committee and organizer of the annual conference
Secretary:
*1-year term
*Attend OSRC meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes
*Help maintain organized records and communications for the Board
*Coordinate and distribute annual OSRC scholarship information to respiratory care programs throughout the state
Delegate:
*4-year term (2 years as Junior Delegate, 2 years as Senior Delegate)
*Represent Oklahoma and the OSRC in the AARC House of Delegates
*Communicate issues affecting Oklahoma respiratory therapists and advocate for the interests of OSRC members
*Cast votes in the House of Delegates in accordance with the wishes and interests of OSRC members
*Participate in AARC House of Delegates activities and meetings
*Annual travel to the AARC Summer Forum and International Respiratory Congress (travel expenses paid by OSRC)
